Rianne Mayer

Rianne Mayer of Berlin joins Swanson baseball for her first year in 2020. Mayer will work with a number of the Swanson baseball teams as well as handle all of the social media for the program.

While growing up in Berlin, Mayer had a stellar career at the Sport and Medical Sciences Academy in Hartford as a three sport athlete, earning a varsity letter each of her four years in volleyball, basketball and softball. Among her many athletic accomplishments, Rianne was named to the All State teams in both volleyball and softball and helped the basketball team make it to the state championship. She played travel softball for the Connecticut Eliminators and eventually signed a partial academic and athletic scholarship to Division II Post University where she plays softball.

She became the starting catcher during her freshman year at Post and continued her success into her sophomore year with the team going 8-2 until the season was unexpectedly canceled due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

Rianne is a Dean's List and two time President's List student and is double majoring in Criminal Justice and Homeland Security & Emergency Management with an eye towards a job in the FBI or CIA or a municipal police department.
