Rob Manzo

Head Coach and Catching Coordinator

Coach Manzo enters his 24th season working with players of all ages. He is currently in his 3rd year with Swanson Baseball as Head Coach and Catching Coordinator. Previously he had a successful 19-year run with the Berlin American Legion baseball program where he won six zone championships, two state titles, and one Northeast Regional title resulting in an invitation to the American Legion Baseball World Series in Fargo, ND.

During his tenure he has mentored and coached several players who have played professional baseball, notably Jess Carlson (Toronto Blue Jays) and Matt Carasiti (Colorado Rockies). Along with his youth baseball accomplishments, Coach Manzo has 10 years college coaching experience at Quinnipiac University (3) and Wesleyan University (7). He is most proud of having assisted over 70 high school aged players in continuing their baseball careers in the college ranks.

Coach "Manz," a former 4-year catcher at QU leads the SB program as a Catching and Hitting Coordinator, working with students ages 7 to 18.
